Indexborn Terms of Service

1. Seller and scope

Indexborn is supplied by Rasmus Nørgaard, Denmark. The support and legal contact address is [email protected]. See Legal information for seller details and policies. These terms apply to the Indexborn Windows desktop application, downloads, licences, and support.

2. Free mode and paid licence

Free mode provides exact duplicate detection and an optional action that moves redundant exact copies to a recoverable quarantine folder while keeping one verified copy; it does not permanently delete them. Gamma's Monthly licence unlocks AI-assisted renaming, organisation, review, and export for the license holder on one active Windows PC at a time. Activating the licence on another Windows PC automatically replaces the previous activation. The licence is personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and may not be shared outside those limits.

3. Plans, prices, and renewal

Gamma's Monthly app-access price is $9.99 USD per month, renewing monthly, without discounts or promotional codes. The total amount is displayed in Stripe Checkout before you pay. Annual and Lifetime are closed for new purchases. Subscriptions may be cancelled before renewal and remain active until the end of the paid period. Stripe processes payments for the seller. The seller is responsible for invoices, applicable VAT, refunds, and licence delivery; Indexborn issues its own licence keys after payment is confirmed. A valid paid licence permits you to connect your own OpenAI API key. OpenAI usage is billed separately by OpenAI and is not included in the app subscription. There is no publisher-funded AI fallback or free AI trial. A ChatGPT subscription does not replace an API key in Gamma.

4. Updates and historical rights

Gamma does not sell new Annual or Lifetime licences. Closing a plan for new purchases does not cancel rights under any existing valid licence or replace the terms accepted for that purchase. Application updates remain subject to the licence you hold and technical compatibility outside our control.

5. Refunds and mandatory rights

We voluntarily offer refunds requested within 14 days of purchase. This policy is additional to, and does not restrict, any mandatory consumer, withdrawal, conformity, or warranty rights that apply to you. See the Refund Policy for the request process.

6. Your files and acceptable use

Indexborn prepares bounded file evidence locally and sends permitted evidence directly from the native Windows app to OpenAI using your own API key for the requested AI analysis. Original files are not uploaded, and items flagged by local privacy checks are held for review. Optional image and PDF previews are sent only when you enable that setting. Privacy checks cannot guarantee detection of every sensitive detail, and previews can still reveal visible private information. Originals stay unchanged until you explicitly export a reviewed result. You remain responsible for backups and final export choices. You must not bypass licence controls, distribute the application, share a key beyond the device limit, or use Indexborn unlawfully.

7. Availability, liability, and support

The application is provided with the statutory rights and remedies that cannot legally be excluded. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not promise uninterrupted availability or compatibility with every file, device, driver, or future Windows version.
